Google, a multinational technology company that specializes in internet-related services and products, including online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware, was looking for a new space as its largest hardware development center outside the U.S. With 15 years of operation in Taiwan, Google made a strategic decision to move 1,200 staff to the new office complex in Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park (TPark). The new office features a product exhibition area, gym, massage room, game room, coffee bar, rest area, and an all-you-can-eat buffet for employees.
Planning and organizing an office move
Crown Workspace Taiwan was commissioned after submitting a detailed and customized tender bid to attend to the provision of move management support including specialist packing, offsite storage and IT services.
With a relatively compact team, Crown Taiwan received guidance and advice from our global teams to deliver an efficient and cost-effective relocation. Crown also appointed a move manager to implement a move strategy in close liaison with the client’s project management contractor, interior designer and realtor.
The relocation was delivered in two days and within the budget, and with Crown’s flexible and proactive attitude surrounding pandemic setbacks and additional service provision, the client’s expectations were exceeded. The services provided included:
- Project management
- Filing packing and storage
- IT decommission
- Offsite storage
