To support its continued growth and expanding research capabilities, OmniActive planned the consolidation and relocation of its R&D operations from two existing locations in Thane and Pune to a larger facility in Turbhe. It involved consolidating research operations from two R&D locations into a new Turbhe facility while ensuring that business-critical research activities could resume quickly and effectively in the new environment. 

The project involved: 

• Consolidating specialised R&D operations from Thane and Pune into Turbhe
• Relocating specialised machinery, laboratory equipment, and research assets
• Coordinating dismantling, transportation, reinstallation, and validation support with OEMs and technical partners
• Managing IQ/OQ/PQ validation and certification requirements following relocation
• Maintaining compliance fulfilment during the movement of both smaller laboratory machines and heavy research machinery
• Supporting a workforce of approximately 400 employees through the transition
• Delivering the move within a tightly managed timeline while minimising disruption to ongoing operations

Any delays, equipment damage, validation gaps, or coordination issues could have impacted operational readiness, productivity, and confidence in the new facility. EXECUTION

The relocation project commenced on 14 April 2026 and was successfully completed on 15 July 2026. 

Throughout the engagement, Crown Workspace worked closely with OmniActive’s operations, research, facilities, OEM, and external partner teams to coordinate multiple workstreams across the project lifecycle. Specialised machinery and laboratory assets were carefully dismantled, packed, transported, reassembled, and supported through IQ/OQ/PQ validation processes to ensure operational readiness at the new facility. 

Compliance requirements were addressed throughout the relocation process, from the movement of smaller laboratory equipment to heavy research machinery. Detailed planning, documentation, handling protocols, technical supervision, and partner coordination helped ensure that equipment movement was carried out with the required level of control and accountability. 

This collaborative and governance-led approach enabled OmniActive to transition to its new workplace with confidence while maintaining focus on its core business priorities.

RESULTS 

A Seamless Transition With Zero Reported Asset Damage 

The relocation was completed successfully, on schedule, and without reported damage to relocated assets.
