Designing for Connection: A New Home for Gia Nguyen’s Workforce

BUSINESS BACKGROUND

Gia Nguyen Logistics is a fast-growing logistics and supply chain company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Known for its efficient operations and customer-centric approach, the company has been steadily expanding its footprint in the Vietnamese logistics sector.

With growth comes change, and for Gia Nguyen, that meant rethinking how and where their teams work.

THE CHALLENGE

Before this project took place, Gia Nguyen operated out of two separate office locations in HCMC. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, like many businesses, they quickly adapted to remote work. Over time, however, this setup began to show its cracks. Employees were scattered across two offices and various home locations, which made collaboration harder and diluted the sense of team unity.

As the company continued to grow, management forecasted even more expansion over the next two years. With that in mind, they made a strategic decision to bring everyone back under one roof. A formal return-to-office policy was announced, with a deadline set for the end of June 2025.

This decision brought a new set of challenges:

  1. Space constraints

  2. Employee convenience

  3. Operational continuity

  4. Spring cleaning opportunity

  • Space constraints: The existing offices couldn’t accommodate the growing team.
  • Employee convenience: The new location had to be accessible for staff commuting from different parts of the city.
  • Operational continuity: The transition needed to be smooth, with minimal disruption to business.
  • Spring cleaning opportunity: The move was also a chance to declutter, digitize documents, responsibly dispose of e-waste, and reset the workspace environment.

THE SOLUTION

Gia Nguyen Logistics approached Crown Workspace Vietnam through a referral from an existing client. After understanding their needs, we proposed a comprehensive and sustainability-conscious solution that covered:

The comprehensive and sustainable workspace solutions

Office Leasing Support

We collaborated with a licensed property agent to find a space that not only met the client’s
size, budget, and location needs but also considered buildings with green certifications or energyefficient infrastructure, supporting Gia Nguyen Logistics’ long-term environmental goals.

Workspace Design and Fit-Out

Our interior design team worked closely with the client to create a layout that promotes collaboration, efficiency, and comfort. From concept to completion, we handled everything; Furniture, lighting, branding elements, and functional zones tailored to their operations. Our design approach emphasized sustainability by incorporating energy-efficient lighting, ergonomic and modular furniture, and eco-friendly materials. We also optimized natural light and ventilation to reduce energy consumption and improve employee well-being.

Office Relocation

During the move, we minimized waste by reusing existing furniture and equipment where possible. Packing materials were selected for their recyclability, and logistics were planned to reduce fuel usage and emissions.

The goal was to deliver a fresh, functional, and future-ready workspace that could support Gia Nguyen’s next phase of growth.

One of the biggest hurdles? Timing

The physical move had to happen over a single weekend, just two days, and during a period of strict traffic control in Ho Chi Minh City due to the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s national celebration. That meant limited hours, restricted routes, and no room for error.

Our team planned every detail meticulously. From coordinating with building management and traffic authorities to scheduling phased packing and transport, we ensured everything ran like clockwork.

By Sunday evening, the new office was ready. When Gia Nguyen’s team arrived on Monday morning, everything was in place. No delays, no disruptions.

THE RESULT

Gia Nguyen Logistics now operates from a modern, centralized office that reflects their brand and supports their growing team.

The new space is not only more efficient but also more engaging for employees returning to in-person work.

We received great feedback from Miss Trinh, the General Manager, who appreciated the smooth transition and the attention to detail throughout the project.
