Relocating, refurbishing and retaining
Man Group are a technology-empowered active investment management business founded in 1783. They focus on delivering performance and client solutions and have a net income of $255 million.
After previously working together, Man Group returned to Premier Workplace Services, a leading workplace change service provider, now owned by Crown Workspace. We assisted in uniting all their regional businesses by relocating to one building. This involved the relocation of over 300 employees to Man Group’s headquarters.
Additionally, Man Group undertook a refurbishment project at their headquarters to make the necessary changes to accommodate the additional 300 employees.
Account management and equipment installation
We provided a dedicated Account and Implementation Management Team for the duration of the project to plan and deliver all phases.
After removing and reselling or donating their old equipment, we also oversaw the pre-installation of hundreds of new monitors, keyboard and mice within a 5-day period, in time for the workplace move, which involved 4 locations.
We also provided a solution for custom items, including the reception desk, recycling bins, meeting room credenzas and some soft seating. We installed furniture and IT equipment on weekends to ensure that Man Group employees were operational from Monday morning onwards.
Sustainability as a key focus
In addition to the physical relocation services, we worked closely with the client to set up a staff sales facility that successfully enabled staff to purchase items from the redundant stock. All items that couldn’t be resold were donated via The Giving Back Project. This approach was supported by a zero to landfill clearance of other unwanted furniture and equipment.
Business as usual – productivity intact
We worked closely with the move management team to deliver against a multi-phase move plan.
The team ensured sufficient resources were available through each element of the relocation to deliver the schedule of moves within the given timescales – enabling business to continue as normal.
“A significant volume of unwanted items were resold or donated. This reuse, combined with maximum recycling of non-reusable items enabled Man Group PLC to achieve a carbon saving of over 240 CO2(e) tonnes for this sustainable clearance.”
