We are thrilled to unveil our latest annual Sustainability Report, a testament to our dedication to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and robust governance. At Crown Malaysia, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s woven into the very fabric of our operations.
Our Journey So Far
In 2023, we embarked on a transformative journey, we moved to evolve our legacy, seeking to take a simple, progressive approach, focused in particular on how we can reduce environmental impact while continuing to deliver on the social and governance agenda.
This report chronicles our progress under three main pillars:
1. Our Climate and Environment
Our commitment to the environment is resolute. We have sought to protect, enhance, and grow the communities in which we operate. “Giving back” has been a central component of our approach to doing business in Malaysia, with our employees empowered to give back to and play important roles in the communities in which we operate. Protecting and enhancing the environment has been central to that work. We’ve taken significant strides to reduce our carbon footprint, conserve resources, and protect biodiversity. From energy-efficient facilities to waste reduction initiatives, but we’re not stopping there, and sights are set on achieving net-zero emissions.
2. Our People and Business
Our people are our greatest asset. We’ve fostered an inclusive workplace where diversity thrives, ideas flourish, and growth is inevitable. Through training, mentorship, and equal opportunities, we’re empowering our team members to be change agents. Because a sustainable future begins with empowered individuals.
3. Our Community
Our legacy of giving back continues. In 20223 we supported local charities, uplifted communities, and made a positive impact. We support those in need in the communities in which we operate, or leveraging the passion of our people, who are empowered to champion and support the causes close to their hearts.
