How to deliver a carbon-friendly workplace transition

Crown Workspace are active members of Business in the Community, the leading business-focused charity setting the path for more responsible business practices. As part of the BITC Circular Economy (CE) Taskforce, we have been guiding organisations to embrace less wasteful, more sustainable, and circular practice in the workplace.

The post-COVID workplace is expected to change significantly. There is a likelihood of many building closures, creating large volumes of redundant office assets that could go to waste. The CE Task Force has produced an important guide for organisations to embrace sustainable practices during this period of transition, to help deliver the changes in ways that are conducive to net-zero carbon targets and aligned to delivering social value.

Ann Beavis, our Head of Sustainable Development who helped co-author this report advises:

“By working alongside JLL, AMEY and BITC to combine our knowledge and expertise in this area we have been able to produce a practical guide that can help signpost organisations who are keen to minimise their environmental impacts and reduce carbon impacts whilst managing their workplace change during this period of uncertainty.”
