Transfer of archive collection for market-leader in the drinks industry

A market leader in the drinks industry decided to transfer an existing archive collection from their Scotland address to their facility in Dublin.

The collection consisted of 700 archive boxes which were sequentially palletised and checked off against a manifest. The boxes were placed onto pallet bases and shrink wrapped.

All the necessary paperwork was arranged to enable customs clearance in Ireland and delivered within the expected time scales. Crown’s Ireland team were utilised to carry out the unloading and placement back onto the pallet racking within their facility over a 2-day period.

Crown were approached to assist with the archive transfer via the Crown Records Management division, while Crown Workspace were engaged to attend to the logistics and planning of this transfer. We incorporated the services of the Crown Relocations European division to assist with the production of the required documentation to enable the archive collection to clear through Irelands customs.

A dedicated crew were provided together with pallet bases and packing materials to pack the archive collection in strict sequence. The pallets were shrink wrapped and loaded onto a dedicated articulated vehicle  which transferred directly to the port following collection, and, after clearing through customs, was in a position to be unloaded the following day utilising the Crown Workspace Ireland branch.

“The Crown team were amazing – a huge thank you to everyone for all of your help!”
