At Crown Workspace, we’re proud to have supported the donation of 12 iPhones to Waverley School, a school in Enfield for children with severe and profound learning difficulties, through the generous donation of our client.
These phones were refurbished by our Renew IT Team as part of our Giving Back Project, our office furniture, IT and equipment donation programme. .
We’ve donated more than 100 items of furniture to Waverley School over the last two years. Our ongoing partnership with Waverley School aligns with our Social Impact Strategy – improving skills opportunities for young people in Enfield. These phones will be used to support students in developing confidence and independence by learning how to use everyday technology.
Since 2011, we have facilitated the donation of over 45,000 items of furniture and equipment as part of the Giving Back Project. You can read more about the progress we’ve made in our latest Crown Workspace UKI Sustainability Report
Back in May, our Sustainability Team (Georgie Byrd and Liv Sheridan) along with Edgaras Plaga, Renew IT Team Leader, visited Waverley School to donate the phones.
“I think it’s so important to share the value of giving back to our local community. For me, the impact can’t fully be captured in numbers or metrics, it’s in the conversations, the reactions, and the environment you walk into when you visit these schools and charities. Moments like this are a real reminder of the difference initiatives like the Giving Back Project can make.”
– Georgie Byrd, Sustainability Advisor at Crown Worldwide UKI.
