Making a Meaningful Difference Through the Giving Back Project

At Crown Workspace, we’re always looking for ways to make a meaningful difference – and one of the ways we do so is through our Giving Back project. Recently, we had the opportunity to donate 25 office chairs from a client site to Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), and the impact has been both immediate and appreciated.

Supporting a Key Community Resource

PAVS plays a vital role in supporting community groups and volunteers across Pembrokeshire. Like many charities, their focus is on delivering frontline services, and that often means office furniture is a luxury they simply can’t prioritise. When we heard they were in need, we worked to understand how we could match up the removal of redundant furniture from a nearby client with the needs of PAVS in West Wales.

The chairs we donated have now replaced a mix of old, mismatched, and uncomfortable seating. It might sound like a small thing, but for the staff and volunteers at PAVS, it’s made a real difference. As they put it, “Where we work – the actual building and space – is as important to us as who we work for. After all, we spend a good number of hours a week there, so being comfortable and having a pleasant environment to work in makes a difference to our individual and team wellbeing.”

What the Giving Back Project Is All About

This is what the Giving Back Project is all about: making sure good-quality furniture doesn’t go to waste and instead finds a second life where it’s genuinely needed.

We’re grateful to the team at PAVS for the work they do, and also for writing this wonderful article: The Giving Back Project comes to PAVS! | Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services. An additional big thanks to Ben and Mark from our team for delivering the chairs to PAVS (and carrying quite a few up several flights of stairs!).
