Crown Workspace becomes an Authorised Refurbishment Partner for Herman Miller in the UK and Ireland
Crown Workspace, an expert in sustainable workplace solutions, has been named an Authorised Refurbishment Partner for the iconic Herman Miller brand.
The partnership reflects a growing desire from businesses in the UK and Ireland to consider the environment and the circular economy when moving or updating their office, rather than sending office furniture to landfill.
Crown Workspace has led the way by investing more than £1m in its award-winning Renew Centre, which employees a team of experts to restore and refurbish second-hand office chairs and desks.
The company has been independently refurbishing and repairing Herman Miller furniture since 2011and now has an official stamp of approval from the legendary brand, renowned for its high-end, high-quality furniture.
Regional Director for Crown Workspace, Phil Oram said: “We refurbish and sell a wide range of Herman Miller furniture and are delighted to be appointed Authorised Refurbishment Partner for this leading international brand.
“This gives our customers additional confidence that Herman Miller products are refurbished to the highest standards, with genuine spare parts, and guarantees the performance, safety and environmental standards of the Herman Miller furniture we sell.
“Our clients can be confident that by purchasing Herman Miller furniture refurbished by Crown Workspace, they are buying furniture that has been professionally refurbished or remanufactured with genuine spare parts to the highest of industry standards.”
Herman Miller’s Environmental Product Specialist, Oliver Cripps said: “We’re excited about this partnership with Crown Workspace which is built on a foundation of shared beliefs and environmental advocacy, and we are confident about the positive impact we can make together – for our customers, our communities, and in the world.
“At Herman Miller, we design for the good of humankind, it’s our purpose as an organisation and leveraging the power of design to improve people’s lives is why we exist.”
Crown Workspace, which has a longstanding reputation in delivering sustainable furniture services, believes extending the life of office furniture is a great example of the circular economy working in practice. With organisations seeking to minimise their environmental footprint, it is increasingly important to buy high qualify furniture items when buying new, these last longer and are easier to refurbish and remanufacture, which is better for businesses than buying cheap imitations.
Phil Oram added: “We share a vision with Herman Miller around sustainability and we will be helping to keep Herman Miller’s high-quality products in use for as long as possible, ensuring that Office Resale remains the best place to buy used office furniture from top brands.”
